about
As a young Christian and naive singer/songwriter/worship leader I’m overwhelmed the most by the glorious exchange that took place at the cross of Calvery which I love to embrace. While penning down this song “Lobwi rwchabo” a kokborok song which means “I will worship you with a song”, I remembered the vivid picture of Jesus and the Samaritan woman’s encounter at the well. One thing that amazed me was inspite of her brokeness and emptiness with nothing much good left in her, Jesus accepted her not just as a human which we would have done at the highest extend, but He went beyond that line to accept her as more than a friend. Perhaps people would have even put a tag on her ‘A scum in the society’ and with whom none would like to associate except for lustful pleasures, but Jesus must have looked into her eyes and whispered to himself, “Dear daughter soon I’m gonna pay the price for your sin which is ugly and bright as crimson though you don’t deserve it by dying on the Cross of Calvery”. It was this encounter where the extravagant love of Jesus brought wholeness and restoration in her relationship with God.
Isn’t it amazing that this Jesus who is known for rebuking the pharisees and the religious sects would say to a harlot ‘God is seeking for true worshipER’? Wow!
I tried putting my feet in her shoes to ponder on how she would have gazed at God if she were to write a song out of her experience and this song is what flowed in my heart.
“I’d be a fool not to embrace this love of God and give myself fully to Him who loves me like crazy”.
I pray that this song will not be just about melodies, production and good music, not even about us being featured in the song and video, but will be all about Jesus who is more than willing to reshape and restore our broken lives if we surrender to Him. Let it bring wholeness and breakthrough in your fellowship with Him as you WORSHIP Him with gratitude and thankfulness.
